Infinite8 Token Symbology
The Eight Trigrams of the Bagua are a set of symbols consisting of three vertical lines, broken or unbroken, which are used in ancient Taoist Cosmology to represent fluctuation fundamental principles of interrelated energies innate to our natural world.
Solid Lines indicate a positive/active or Yang energy flow and a broken line indicates a break in flow or a negative/receptive, Yin energy pattern.
Combinations of these three lines, broken or unbroken are stacked one on top of the other in sequence where hierarchical order of lower position known as Earth position gives wellspring to the middle position (Man position) that gives rise to the top Heaven position; and alternatively the Heaven position. Other interpretations of these three positions may be understood as Body, Mind and Soul/Spirit or action, thought and will/intent.
These Trigrams gain their interpretation with the combinations of broken and unbroken lines of fluctuating energies settled into values according to the Yin and Yang pattern they possess and their hierarchical positioning.
Trigrams are then often placed in a hexagonal pattern, as they are in the Infinite8 token and the HAVEN8 Votive token, according to cardinal directions and astrological references which are used as an interpretive tool in the understanding of energetic values of eight compass directions. These situationally positioned trigrams are collectively termed a Bagua and can be used to map the energetic flow of Yin yang positive and negative values of the oscillating cycles of our reality.
To the East Asian ancient philosophers and shaman, Trigrams could be further utilised by stacking two sets of Trigram on top of the other, in methodical method and sequence to produce a Hexagram.
Combinations of the Hexagram in sequences built from Trigrams arithmetically totalled 64 and were calculated as a tool to identify the Solar and Lunar year cycle which included the calculation of a greater Solar Year cycle of 60 years (each year possessing twelve months and each lunar month being a period of approximately 28 days).
Hexagrams could then be used to map cyclical processes that explained the shifting energetic values of conducive and non-conducive vitality as it pertained to the Earth, Man and the cosmos expanding out to gain precise understanding of greater astrological phenomenon such as the Cosmic Year, as designated by 12,960 Solar Years, an indicator of a great Earth cycle or time observed between the onset of ice ages. An event that has been recorded in most ancient culture throughout our history.
The HAVEN8 DAO NFT has adopted the Hexagram 24 known as the Great Returning. A period of new beginning, a transition from recessive energies to active, conducive vitality.

羯磨界
Three rings of different colours within the Infinite8 Token denotes the Vedic, Hindu and Buddhist ideology of the presence of Three Worlds or Three Realms of Karmic Existence. These rings are a theological depiction and indicator of East Asian Spatial Cosmology and energetic values associated with rebirth and cyclic patterns. The Three Realms or spatial planes of existence, beginning at the lowest energetic value and karmic evolution is represented as the outer ring of the Infinite8 token, possessing the eight Trigrams of the Bagua, encapsulated in a purple field. This lower realm signifies the Desire Realm (Karma-Loka – Pali-Sanskrit) and is the world we occupy, up to and including the third dimension for which the macro-universe of material form and emotional substance is realised. Within this realm the temporal laws of Yin-Yang, cause and effect, choice and consequence, base desire, and lineal time hold the greatest magnitude of entanglement.
The ebb and flow of opposing energies, affixed to choice and potential as the possible recognition of an observer Universe gives rise to the initiation of all karmic value and temporal effects corollary to this realm. Our abilities as conscious beings, capable of self-reflection for both corporeal and incorporeal discernment, underpins the greatest capacity for ascension beyond the baseline of this realm. The objective of ethical, moral and spiritual learning holds the highest potential within this realm and with this potential lies the greatest reason why the physical Universe is ordered and maintained in its current structure.
色界
The second ring from the edge of the front side of the Infinite8 token symbology is representative of the Form Realm or Rupa-loka as spoken in the ancient language of Pali-Sanskrit. According to Buddhist/Hindu Cosmology, the Rupa-Loka is a world mostly free from the base levels of karmic desire and retribution as compared with the Karma-Loka realm. Entities that reside there are the result of incarnation based on ascension beyond the base levels of desire. These beings have form, but their form is composed of subtle elemental substances or ethereal energies, which they are able to manipulate to a point where they can become heavy and appear three dimensional form within the Desire Realm (Karma-Loka). Informally and inaccurately classified as Gods or immortal beings due to the fact that the ancient Pali-Sanskrit lexis has no truly quantifiable English language equivalent, entities of this realm are broad ranging and can vary significantly in form, qualities and agency. The Pali-Sanskrit term for them are Devah, and are said to exist in a mostly blissful state, with life spans that may extend into the hundreds of thousands of years compared to the relative short lives of those who exist in the Desire Realm.
The Rupa-Loka or realm of the blissful Devah, extends beyond, yet entwined and overlapping the lower 3D Desire Realm, extending up from the 5th dimensional state of energetic resonance and vibrating within levels of photonic field that allows them to maintain the same relative spatial plane as those below, whilst experiencing an entirely different world without direct physical interference and karmic interaction from those below or above. This realm as perceived by humans, is present but invisible, independent yet comparatively immune from latent cause and effect of the Desire Realm. The Rupa-Loka is a set of spacious multi-dimensional planes that layer the Universe in a matrix of potentiality, arriving pre-generatively to the 3D realm, yet existing partially as consequence to it.
無色界
The inner ring of the Infinite8 token is illustrative of the Formless Realm or Arupa-Loka. The non-corporeal realm populated by beings who dwell in four heavens and in five dimensions above the 10th. In contrast to the lower realms of the Karma-Loka and Rupa-Loka, Desire and Form realms, the entities within this realm are in a state of karmic ascendency of pure harmony and omnipotency. The Form Realm has no true location and yet in juxtaposition, exist in all places. A place beyond photonic resonance said to extend from and including the 11th dimension into the 15th dimension with the beings that reside there having neither true shape or location, but are possessing entirely of mind.
There is no place for the Arupa-Loka domain to be reckoned with within form based Spatial Cosmology, therefore the area that is identified on the Infinite8 Token, as representing Arupa-Loka is coloured black; as black holds the unique characteristic of being representative of the absence of photonic energy reflection or the spectrum of photonic frequency most distinctive through its ability to absorb light energy. The Torii gate symbology located within this region designates the presence of a pure God of infinite potential and creation.
三つ巴/三つ鞆繪
The Mitsutomoe also recognised as a Mitsumagatama (三つ曲玉Japanese) is a symbol that yields its origins far back in human history, as versions of the symbol was conceptualized even before the time of ancient Sumerian culture. The Spiralling three pronged shape as depicted above, traces a Fibonacci styled spiral and is intended to symbolise the shape of the Galaxy and the innate formation of cyclic movement consistent to solar radiation spinning out from the centre point to effect the entire Solar System with photonic waves of radiation that mimic and follow the events of gravitational influences.
The philosophy giving rise to the ‘triplicity of being’ is illustrated and dualistically separated into positive and negative areas or fields of influence unmarked within the symbol which are meaningfully directed by a third field, the field of intent. The reference in the symbol pertaining to a controlling field of intent or God Consciousness goes far in explaining the generalized interpretations implicating an ‘observer universe’. The will or intent that directs the forces of positive and negative interplay, manipulate the alchemical ingredients of photonic resonance to a point where the resulting electromagnetic elixir gives rise to a visible and ostensibly solid Universe.
For more than two thousand years the symbol that is the Mitsutomoe, along with its variant forms, such as the two comma shaped Futatsutomoe, were assimilated into the Vedic, Hindu, Taoist and Buddhist cannons, including the Shinto philosophy where it continued to developed adjunct yet supporting interpretations.
Within Buddhist dogma, the Mitsutomoe developed theories pertaining to the triplicity of emergent existences, with the conceptualization of hierarchical consequences of materialization. The visual representation of the triple state of being is often succinctly referred to as Spirit, Mind and Body, or intent, thought and action, ultimately arriving at a philosophical point to which a trinity of divine manifestation gives rise to all things within the entangled Universe.
Buddhism went on to associate the Mitsutomoe with other sacred symbology such as the Sambo (三寶) the ‘Wish Granting jewels or more appropriately the ‘Three Jewels of Buddhism’. The Three Jewels are often depicted in similar style to the Mitsutomoe and in distinct fashion become iconic gestures that assists devotees with the dissemination of the proper path toward enlightenment. The three jewels of veneration are:
- The Teacher
- The Transmission
- The Community (those who practice the way or path to enlightenment.
In extension to the older determinations Mitsutomoe symbol, the Shinto philosophy recognises the Mitsutomoe as the visual embodiment of three spirits, Mitama-goryou (三玉御魂) or God Bodies Miotsu-shintai (三神體). Three Spirits of a Yin and Yang dyad known as Aramatama, the ‘Earth Spirit,’ Nigimitama the gentle spirit or ‘Spirit of the Ethereal Plane’ and Sakimitama the lucky ‘Spirit of Good Fortunes’ that manifests through good will and intent.
Further denotations of the symbol arose from the result of a bleed through of philosophical ideals in relation to Buddhism, Shintoism and Daoism, drawing associations to astronomy, astrology and star worship. This particular interpretation gave rise to the Mitsutomoe symbol being identified with the ‘Three Legged Crow’ mythology Yatagarasu (八咫烏);
A sun sign symbol attached to the Japanese native creation myths and secures direct reference to Polaris the Pole Star or the North Star within the constellation of Ursa Minor which is positioned no more than 1 degree off a direct alignment with the North Pole axis and is significant for the use in navigation in today’s world as it was so to the philosophers and navigators in ancient cultures
The North Star was considered to be a God called Myoken (妙見) or ‘Black Warrior of the North’ and patron deity for much of the warrior cast in Japan’s feudal history.
